Accessibility Bootcamp

Description:

Join this interactive workshop on building awareness of architectural barriers to accessibility and inclusion. At a time when new legislation is underscoring the importance of understanding the needs of people with disabilities, this engaging presentation will encourage participants to:

  • Understand the role of demographics (lifetime of changing needs and abilities) in influencing architectural design;
  • Receive practical tools, and a set of new eyes to immediately and easily identify barriers that surround us;
  • Interact with resources and photos that portray “good, bad and ugly” barriers found in real-world design;
  • Gain new enthusiasm for removing the barriers that inhibit participation and inclusion.
