Music of the Eye Architectural Drawings of Saint John and its Region, 1822-1914
New Brunswick Museum

17:00 to 19:00
Date: Exhibition Opening and Reception Tuesday, May 29th – 17:00 – 19:00 Location: New Brunswick Museum
This exhibition provides an introduction to the rich architectural heritage of the city. It also gives an appreciation that architectural ideas from Britain and the eastern United States often reached the Maritime provinces first because of geography and the strong 19th-century presence of architectural practitioners. The exhibit updates a 1992 show mounted by the New Brunswick Museum; at that time, the RAIC and AANB were co-publishers with the museum of the exhibition catalogue. The official opening for both delegates and the public will be on the evening of Tuesday, May 29 in the museum lobby adjacent to the Market Square Atrium. Delegates may also view the show during the official opening reception of the RAIC/AANB Festival of Architecture on May 30 in the museum lobby and Market Square Atrium.
