Wind Tunnel vs. CFD in the Urban Realm

Description:

This presentation will outline the differences between physical Wind Tunnel Model testing and Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) testing on both existing and proposed developments. Both methods can be highly effective and produce vastly different results due to a myriad of variables. Duncan Phillips uses his experience in both modeling styles to shed light on the assumptions around accuracy, cost-effectiveness, and overall compatibility. This presentation will draw on the pros and cons of each test style using videos, simulations, and case studies.
